We are delighted to announce artist Susan Albright Boehmig to the team of lifestyle coordinators as our exclusive in-house artist.
She has been fascinated by houses and how people live for as long as she can remember. She has been involved with houses in many ways over the past 20 years: as an interior designer, home stager, realtor, house flipper and serial mover. One of these days, she may get some analysis to find out where this near obsession with houses comes from!
As an illustrator, Susan portrays houses and rooms as she imagines they should be: beautiful, balanced, harmonious, lived in and loved. Her illustrations have personality and charm. With over 20 years of experience in the business of interior design, Susan’s keen eye for color and form is highly developed and yet her artwork has a naive optimism, a signature look that we love.
After graduating from Smith College, Susan lived and worked in Manhattan, Westport and Fairfield where she raised three daughters. Four years ago, she moved to a sleepy beach town along the coast of South Carolina, about an hour north of Charleston. Yes, there is a bit of a story there… but the story ends well. It was in Pawleys Island that she found happiness again on her own and then met her soul mate and married him in the courtyard of a very old, very beautiful Inn in Charleston. (If asked, perhaps she will sketch it for us?)
