Oh Lordy Lord

Working from home has become the new norm, and while all the world continues to find interesting things to do to pass the time, I decided to seek a title.

Let me explain. Today I received my official title certificate/proclamation whereas Mar William Jennings may now hereafter be referred to as “Lord.” Yup: Lord Mar William Jennings. Can you stand it? Cool right?

So you must be asking how did this happen? Want to become a lady or lord yourself? Simply by purchasing land, large or small, in Scotland. You see, based on a historic Scottish land ownership custom, landowners have been long referred to as “Lairds”, the Scottish term for “Lord”, with the female equivalent being “Lady.” That can also mean that you are granted all the benefits of the title you may usher into your life over the years.

So yes, I did buy some land in Scotland, and voila! Now at least while I’m working at home I feel like my mind can wander in new ways. After all, if a man’s home is his castle, then I can actually be the Lord of mine. Just keep in mind, if I’m around and you happen to say “Oh Lord!” you just might hear me say “Yes, how may I help?”
