The Scoop On The Poop

The Scoop On The Poop

Picking up after your dog is not only the law in most cities, but also the right thing to do as a responsible pet owner. No matter what size your dog is, this is not a pleasant experience for any of us.

No matter where I am, I find myself meeting someone I know on the street while carrying around the evidence of my healthy dog.  I love my dog, and it’s no wonder she thinks I’m working for her.  After all, you don’t see dogs picking up after their owners. So, here is a clever idea to help conceal the evidence while making it a more pleasant experience.

I’ve taken tissue paper and plastic bags and combined the two for easy transportation.

Here is what you will need for this project.

• Plastic produce bags that you have saved from the grocery store
• Colored tissue paper
• Scissors

I always prefer darker tissue paper, but any color or pattern will do.  The size of your dog will determine the amount of tissue paper you will need.  Cut your tissue paper accordingly, then fold it into your plastic bag for storage. Now fold your plastic bags flat in a drawer.  Now that you have this available, try picking up after your dog with the bag inside out with the tissue paper on the outside and your hand on the inside.  As you pick-up after your dog turn the plastic bag in with the undesirable now on the inside and covered by the tissue paper.  You’re done!  Repeat as needed.

Trust me, this will make the time you spend picking up after your dog a more pleasant and fashionable experience.

And there you have it.
