Recently, however, I discovered Pallini Limoncello. Feeling inspired, I wondered if I could incorporate this delicious liquor into what was a rather poor and undeveloped MAR-tini. So, even though the martini has been around for decades, I would like to contribute my recipe to the vast array of martini recipes that already exist. Mine is especially cool and refreshing. I hope you like it.

• Martini shaker
• Fresh Mint
• One fabulous lemon
• Lemon Juice
• Granulated sugar
• Pallini Limoncello
• Boru Vodka (any vodka will do, I just prefer this brand)

Rim a martini glass with sugar. To do this, put some sugar on a small plate. Run a slice of lemon around the rim of the glass to moisten it. Dip the rim of the martini glass in the sugar. This is the same procedure as if riming with salt for a margarita.

Fill a shaker with ice about two-thirds.

Add:
Two parts Pallini Limoncello
Two parts vodka
Half part lemon juice

Depending on how tart or sweet you prefer your new MAR-tini, simply adjust the lemon juice and/or limoncello.

Shake well and strain into the rimmed glass. Garnish with a circle slice of lemon. For that signature MAR look, place a large mint leaf under the lemon slice on the inside of the glass.

Always drink responsibly and remember:
One MAR-tini, two MAR-tini, three MAR-tini……FLOOR!!
