New Lifestyle Series Host
Mar Jennings GROWS Ratings and
Makes Mark on WTNH/Channel 8 New Haven
with “Believable TV”

September 8, 2006 (Westport, Conn.)
After only 5 airings, rookie lifestyle series Mar Jennings Home & Garden has proven itself as a tune-in vehicle for WTNH/Channel 8, New Haven, CT. In analyzing the ratings for the show, Mar Jennings Home & Garden built from its lead-in share 4 out of 5 weeks. The figures were based on airdates in July and August 2006.

With no special promotion by the station and a cold launch, Mar Jennings Home & Garden frequently outperformed such syndication veteran shows as Rebecca’s Garden, Bob Vila, and This Old House in the Hartford/New Haven household ratings, either holding or building on its share, quarter-hour to quarter-hour.

The Syndicator for the show, Northstar Media, is impressed with the vigorous start of this standout lifestyle series. “Given the fact that Mar Jennings Home & Garden was placed on WTNH’s schedule with no fanfare, no promotion (by the station) in the middle of the lowest HUT-level time of the year (mid-summer), this is very encouraging. All stations considering this show for daytime scheduling should take notice,” said Andy Weir, Co-President of Northstar Media.

Additional original episodes of Mar Jennings Home & Garden are scheduled to air throughout 2006 on WTNH/Channel 8, New Haven, CT, with the next episodes to air on October 1 and October 7.

The 30 minute lifestyle series Mar Jennings Home & Garden currently airs on WTNH/Channel 8 New Haven, CT. Northstar Media, a New York-based media and television distributor, will work to raise the profile of the Lifestyle Guru to a national level.
